The foggy stage

I decided to start writing in English, in order to reach a wide array of readers. This piece of writing is my own humble point of view.
I was in Cairo in the last couple of days. Let me say that, for me Cairo is my birth place. It is so dear to me to be there and to breathe in its air.
Unfortunately, this time it was not the same. I was frightened that something bad or dangerous could happen to me or to anyone from my relatives due to the last incidents in Tahrir on 28th of June and thereafter.

For the first time in my life, I felt this fear.

Some thoughts, questions and answers struck my mind yesterday:
1- Did the revolution achieve its goals?!!
- Of course No.
2- Did all the symbols and the head of the past corrupted regime got fair trials with fair sentences?
- Of course No.
3- Did all the families of the martyrs got relieved due to the fair trials of those who killed their beloved ones?
- Of course No.
4- Do I feel that a revolution has occurred?

We now live in what I call the foggy stage. Yes, that's because we donot know what is going to happen tomorrow? There is no clear map to see where are we going? And are we on the right track or not??!!

A lot of questions, puzzles and mysteries are forming clouds of fogs around our minds.

Another question: Does all the invitations to a re-revolution in July 8th convince all the people to go to Tahrir??!!

But in this entire foggy situation, what I do love the most is the optimistic spirit of simple Egyptian citizens that tomorrow will be better.

As for me, I believe that we (Egyptians) can do miracles, just if we remained united and specified our goals.

Long live Egypt.
